2016 Season Reports

Sharks 2

Sharks 2 again took to the field this year with many new and younger faces amongst the old which again turned out to be a good mix of enthusiasm and experience. Once again the team gelled right from game 1 of the competition finishing in second place on the competition point score.  For the first time in a few years we were able to play the semi final and final with players on the bench but it wasn’t to be our year losing the final 2-1.

Sharks2 has numerous rep players that play in the U15, U18, Open and Masters age groups at State Championships for the Sydney South Association so there are numerous weekend where we are not at full strength.  However there were many memorable games where the team worked together and played some sensational hockey. Many thanks to the Sharks4 players who we called upon to fill in during the season. Thanks to Matt our Coach and Assistant Andrew and congratulations to all players for a standout season and we hope to see you all back in 2017.

Sharks 4

Sharks Womens, 4th Grade played their second season in the SEHA competition. This year was all about the development of a team that had nearly 80% new players, some players were returning to the club after a number of years away from the sport and some of our talented Junior players stepped up and made a major contribution to this team.

We did not make the finals this year however, it was a fun season full of passion and determination and we are looking forward to the 2017 season that will give us more opportunities to play more hockey in the shire as well as the eastern suburbs, and sharpen our skills under the guidance of our club coaches Matt and Mitch.
