Play Hockey in the Sutherland area in 2023

Sharks Hockey Club is based in the Sutherland Shire and has a team for you in 2021. Sharks Hockey Club is a family friendly club that caters for all level of players. In 2021 we will have teams for Women, Men, Girls and Boys and will be able to cater for any ability in the Sutherland Shire competition and our other competitions.

Sharks Hockey Club had a fantastic 2020 season. Whilst the season was short it was very successful for the club. We were able to field 9 teams in three different competitions, six of these were junior teams and four were senior women’s teams.

The highlight for the club was our Premier League team winning the Sydney East Hockey Association Competition. This was a very young team who only lost one game all season. We were very lucky to secure the support of Michael Dean who represented his COB at the Olympics and numerous World Cups. His coaching skills were appreciated by the team and they improved with every game. The girls were able to take the reins from Esquires who had won this competition for 8 seasons in a row.

We hope to continue this great form into the 2023 season with competitions that are played on a Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. Most of our games are played at Marang Parklands Hockey Centre near Greenhills in the Sutherland Shire.

Competitions

Our junior comp is a mixed comp plated on a Saturday morning at Marang Parklands. Marang Parkland is the home to hockey in the Sutherland shire.

Friday night School Competition

Our school competition is for children from 15-18 years. These games are played on a Friday night at Marang Hockey fields in the Sutherland Shire.

These are mixed teams and the competition is graded. Games run from 6-30 to 8-30. This competition caters for beginners and experienced players

Our Women’s and Men’s teams have many playing options you can play in the Sutherland Shire at our Marang fields or travel if you would like to be more competitive.
